Just a few minutes drive north on highway 395 will take you to the beautiful Lake Ainslie - the largest natural fresh water lake in Nova Scotia and a great spot for water activities, sightseeing and fishing.
The productive forestland consists of 20% softwoods (mostly fir, spruce, hemlock and white pine, and large volume of hardwoods (mostly maple and birch).
From roadside the property is level to gently increasing in elevation to approximately 350 meters (1,150 feet) in from roadside. From here, the lot slopes up the hillside to an elevation of 220 meters (720 feet) above sea level. As you approach the eastern boundary (rear of the property), the terrain slopes down to a brook running across the property. The brook provides plentiful mountain water and you are likely to find nearby trout pools. A set of power lines crosses over the property approximately 150 to 300 feet from roadside.
The many hillside springs and brooks on this property would be a good source of water. Right now, there is only a short driveway into the property near the southern boundary, which was formerly used as a wood road. However it is possible to construct a mountain road right up into the property as the neighbours have done. From high up in the property you have beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.

A little further north is Baddeck - home of the world famous Alexader Graham Bell Museum, a lovely marina servicing all types of boats on Bras d’Or Lake, lovely restaurants, gift shops, accommodations, golf course, well marked hiking trails and all other services.
