This 35 acre parcel borders a year round paved Moran Road, serviced with electricity and telephone, just off of Weldfield-Collette Road in Northumberland County.   This property is approximately 150 meters (495 feet) wide and 946 meters (3,104 feet) deep with some slight elevation changes in the southern portion before levelling off in the middle and northern boundaries.

An old baseball diamond used locally is located on the other side of Moran Road; maintained but maybe no longer used. You have a neighbor to the east and another just down Moran Road - close enough that your not isolated but far enough away that there's still plenty of privacy.

The land was harvested for lumber many years ago.  A good variet of spruce, pine, maple and birch are growing in nicely.  The many small lakes, ponds and streams in the area make this property ideal environment supporting an abundance of wildlife.  The area boasts a strong Moose, Black Bear, White Tail Deer population as well as many species of Waterfowl and small game.

Access from Miramichi is very good - turn off on Weldfield-Collette Road at Highway 11 and continue on this route for approximately 12 minutes to Moran Road. Miramichi has a population of 18,500.  It is New Brunswick’s fourth largest city and is the service centre of Northumberland County.  This city is rich with festivals, activities and events year-round including the Miramichi Salmon Classic, Pond Hockey Tournaments, and more traditional family oriented festivals.

The Miramichi River originates in the heart of the Miramichi Highlands and drains a watershed of 12,390 square kilometres through the Southwest Miramichi, the Little Southwest Miramichi, the Northwest Miramichi and dozens of tributaries and brooks.  This is “THE” destination for serious Atlantic Salmon fishermen.

Kouchibougac National Park and the Ocean is only 30 minutes away with over 60 km or 37.5 miles of cycling paths for hikers and cyclist, canoeing, kayaking, bird watching as well as cross country skiing, snowshoeing and tobogganing in winter.  This National Park established in 1969 protects the habitat of the many species of plants and wildlife along the shores of the Kouchibouguac River and waters of the Northumberland Strait.

To get to this property from Moncton take Highway 15 to Shediac, continuing north approximately 100 km or 60 miles to Miramichi on Highway 11. Shortly before entering Miramichi turn left of Weldfield-Collette Road and continue on this road for approximately 8 miles to Moran Road. Turn right here and continue for 300 meters or 950 feet to your property. If you miss Weldfield-Collette Road take Upper Napan Road which leads to Weldfield Rd.
