This lovely surveyed parcel has 556.5 feet of road frontage on Oulton Road – a quiet gravel road, which connects highway # 16 with South Shore Road (Route 960). Topography of the land is more or less level, approximately 75 feet above sea level. A good portion of the land is open, with some bushes beginning to grow in nearer the roadside. This property is just south of the Trans Canada Trail network – this portion of the trail runs from Port Elgin, past this property and into the picturesque settlement of Cape Tormentine.

Along highway # 16, Upper Cape Rd and South Shore Rd are many nicely kept cottages, homes and farm sites. The friendly residents speak both English and French.

A short drive northeast along highway # 16 past the Cape Jourimain National Wildlife Area is the magnificent Confederation Bridge linking New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island; an integral part of the Trans Canada Highway. The 8 mile bridge is the longest bridge over ice-covered waters in the world.

The land is within convenient driving distance to several renowned beaches and resorts along the Northumberland Strait (Gulf of St. Lawrence): Shediac’s Parlee Beach – Shediac is reputed to be the lobster capital of the world; Cap Pele’s Aboiteau Beach – with its scenic boardwalks, oceanfront patios and quiet walking trails; Murray Beach and Provincial Park; and a beautiful wide sandy beach at Cape Tormentine.

Getting here is easy. From Moncton, the province’s second largest city and urban center (population 61,046), take the Trans Canada Highway # 2 southeast past Sackville (home of Mount Alison University) to highway # 16. Continue north on highway # 16 past Port Elgin and towards the Confederation Bridge, linking New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. 10.5 miles past Port Elgin and you will reach Malden, Turn right (south) onto Oulton Road and drive ¼ mile to the Trans-Canada-Trail. Your parcel’s northeasterly corner is just 500 feet south further on the right side of Oulton Road.
